7 Reasons to Read the Qur'an
by Shabir Aly

1 - Intimate:
It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans can not write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Quran.

2 - Incorruptible:
It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

3 - Unsurpassable:
The Quran is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

4 - Indisputable:
The Quran withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Quran was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.

5 - Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife:
The Quran is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Quran also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to paradise.

6 - God's Gift of Guidance:
God has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. God tells you why he made you, what he demands from you, and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to it's manufacture specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner's manual for you? The Quran is from your function for success lest you fail to function. It is a healing mercy from God. It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings
peace.

7 - Your Calling Card to Communicate with God:
Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Quran tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life- the One God. The Quran tells us who God is, by what name we should address God, and the way in which to communicate with God.
Are these not seven sufficient reasons for reading the Quran?

poem:on Hijab and Oppression-Author Unknown

You look at me and call me oppressed,
Simply because of the way I’m dressed,
You know me not for what’s inside,
You judge the clothing I wear with pride,

My body is not for your eyes to hold,
You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mould,

I’m an individual, I’m no mans slave,
It’s Allah’s pleasure that I only crave,

I have a voice so I will be heard,
For in my heart I carry His word,

“O ye women, wrap close your cloak, so you won’t be bothered by ignorant folk”,
Man doesn’t tell me to dress this way,
It’s a law from God that I obey,

Oppressed is something I’m truly NOT,
For liberation is what I’ve got,

It was given to me many years ago,
With the right to prosper, the right to grow,

I can climb mountains or cross the seas,
Expand my mind in all degrees,

For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,
When He sent Islãm,
To You and Me!

Akhlaq...

Akhlak Mulia
Album : Ya RasulullahMunsyid : Saujana

Umpama Bebunga Yang Mekar Indah Di Taman
Akhlak Yang Mulia Pada Insan
Harum Mewangi Menghias Peribadi
Siapa Memandang Jatuh Hati

Akhlak Yang Istimewa Lumrah Dari Nur Iman
Umat Yang Bertaqwa Pada Tuhan
Hati Yang Suci Tunduk Pada Ilahi
Dunia Akhirat Dijanjikan Bahagia

Oh...Alangkah Indah Kehidupan
Masyarakat Berakhlak Mulia
Tuhan Akan Memberkati
Rahmatnya Melimpah Murni
Semua Hidup Aman Dan Harmoni

Pakaikan Di Hatimu Dengan Akhlak Mulia
Sucikanlah Dari Noda Dunia
Kenalkan Dengan Cinta
Kasih Yang Sebenarnya Pada Tuhan Yang Esa

Lukiskan Di Jiwamu Dengan Akhlak Yang Murni
Taburkanlah budimu yang abadi
Suburkan Dalam Diri Cinta Yang Tulus Suci
Pada Tuhan...
Cinta Sejati

Bebunga Yang Mekar Indah Di Taman
Akhlak Yang Mulia Pada Insan
Harum Mewangi Menghias Peribadi
Siapa Memandang Jatuh Hati

[Al Ahzab:21]

"Sesungguhnya orang yang terbaik diantara kalian adalah yang paling baik akhlaknya". (HR. Bukhori dan Muslim)

Political and religious leaders are condemning plans for the head of a small U.S. church to burn Qurans on Saturday to protest against violent Islamic extremists. The church's leader says they will conduct the event despite critics who fear it will inflame religious tensions around the world.

For weeks, the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, has been advertising an event it calls "International Burn a Koran Day".  The small Christian church chose to hold the event on September 11, in part to honor those killed in the 2001 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

The church's leader, Pastor Terry Jones, says the burning of the Quran sends a message to violent Islamic extremists like al-Qaida, which carried out the attacks against the United States.

"Our burning of the Quran is to call to attention that something's wrong.  Something is wrong.  It is possibly time for us in a new way to actually stand up, confront terrorism," he said.

In Washington, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the planned event goes against a long history of religious tolerance in the United States.  She said it also sends the wrong message about the country's relationship with Muslims in America and elsewhere.

"It is regrettable that a pastor in Gainesville, Florida, with a church of no more than 50 people, can make this outrageous and distressful, disgraceful plan and get the world's attention.  But that's the world we live in right now.  I mean, it doesn't in any way represent America or Americans or American government, or American religious or political leadership," he said.

U.S. military officials also condemn the planned event, saying that it might inflame tensions and lead to new attacks on U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

At the United Nations, the spokesman for Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says Mr. Ban is disturbed by the actions of the Dove World Outreach Center.

Deputy Spokesman Farhan Haq says the event threatens to damage U.N. efforts to help communities overcome religious divisions around the world.

"Any such action, if carried out, would contradict the efforts of United Nations and many people around the world to promote tolerance, intercultural understanding and mutual respect between cultures and religions.  In fact, it would only lead to further discord and polarization between communities, that is what our concern is," he said.

The Vatican also is expressing concern, saying that burning the Quran would be an "outrageous and grave gesture."  Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi says burning the holy book of Islam is not the proper way for people to show their outrage about the 2001 terrorist attacks.  "This act would only call for new hate and violence.  It goes directly in the opposite direction to the building of peace to which we all, as faithful in god and as people of peace, are called," Lombardi said.

In Florida, Pastor Jones says his church has received scores of death threats as well as messages of support about the event, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday.  He says he is aware of the concerns, especially regarding possible risks to U.S. troops in Afghanistan, but that the church will not change its plans. "So as of right now, we are not convinced that backing down is the right thing.  So on September 11th, we shall continue with our planned event," he said.

Religious groups across the United States say they plan to protest the burning on Saturday, with events that include readings from the Muslim holy book.

salam Ramadhan

Ramadhan bakal berakhir beberapa hari sahaja lagi. Wajahnya sungguh bercahaya. Aku terasa kehilangannya. Aku sekeluarga suka menjemputnya berbuka puasa bersama dgn kami  diakhir puasa. Mek tinggal seorang diri kerana anak-anaknya mempunyai rumah sendiri.

Ya Allah, maafkanlah aku atas segala dosa-dosaku selama ini.amin ya Rabbal A'lamin.
